Before you do the test, it is important that you have not had a pee for at least two hours. For girls it is best to avoid taking the test during the heaviest part of your period.

Four simple steps

1. The first thing you need to do is fill in the white section of the form, you must tell us your full name, date of birth, contact details (including postcode), otherwise the sample may not be tested. We will not share this information with anyone without your permission.
2. Complete and remove the sticky label from page 3 and place this onto the clear pot, then pee into this pot.
3. Put the pee pot into the bigger container then into the plastic bag.
4. Your test and form must be posted in the plastic freepost envelope to the laboratory

How do I get my results?

About a week after you have sent your test back, the screening office will contact you either by text, phone or in writing (depending on which you have told us is the best way to contact you), to let you know your result.

If your test is negative we will contact you by your chosen method. If your test is positive a health advisor will contact you to arrange an appointment to give you some treatment, which is a short course of antibiotics.
